How does Beon ensure its helmets fit well?

Beon continuously refines the fit of its helmets to match the prevailing head shapes in different markets. We also monitor global trends in head shape and adapt the design of new models accordingly. For the best fit we recommend trying the helmet in person with professional advice or taking a test ride before purchasing.

How can I reduce helmet noise while riding?

Beon works to minimize wind noise in its helmet designs, while maintaining safety and ventilation. Turbulence and noise can depend on many factors such as the motorcycle’s aerodynamics, the rider’s height, posture, clothing and windshield position. Adjusting these factors may help. Also check that the cheek and crown pads fit snugly and that the visor is fully closed. Perceived noise levels vary greatly between riders.

Can the chin strap be modified or extended?

Select Beon models are equipped with a micro ratchet closure. If you prefer a double D ring fastener, this modification can be performed by our service department for a fee. Please contact the Beon dealer where you purchased the helmet and provide proof of purchase. Some models may not be eligible for conversion. The chin strap cannot be extended beyond its built in adjustment range.

What should I know about riding in European countries?

Some countries have strict rules on helmet certification and accessories. Non compliant helmets or unauthorized attachments such as cameras or intercoms can result in fines or motorcycle seizure. Check local regulations before traveling.

How is the weight of a helmet determined?

The listed weight is measured on a size M helmet in a solid color. Graphics and special finishes may add approximately 50 grams due to additional protective coating.

Are tinted or mirrored visors road legal?

ECE R22.06 requires at least 80% light transmission for unrestricted use. Visors with 35–80% transmission may be used in daylight and are marked “Daytime use only.” Below 35% transmission, visors are not approved for public road use. Always carry a clear visor if riding in changing light.

Can I use a helmet from another region in Europe?

Only helmets certified to the required European standards (ECE R22.06, 22.05, 22.04) are legal for road use in Europe. Helmets made for other regions (such as DOT or SNELL) may not be permitted and can result in fines. They may also differ in weight and fit.
